After signing the contract and the paying the invoice, our engineers, developers, designers start their work and study a lot of details, including: the possibility to install the crane in the existing space by geometric parameters (crane height, span size, vertical hook approach, etc.), rail load are determined by the optimal speeds of mechanisms. The first result of their work is a three-dimensional project. The example of such work is an overhead single-girder underrunning crane with a loading capacity of 10 tons manufactured by MKS.
After that, the dimensional drawing and mass-centre and speed specifications are agreed by the Customer. The spatial model of the crane is transferred to the drawing according to the standards of the Unified system for design documentation, and issued for production. We purchase components from reliable Suppliers, we are confident in quality of their products and the terms of delivery. Components of transmissions and mechanisms are produced on metal-cutting machines, cut, bored and heat-treated with subsequent grinding/honing. Quality control is performed by the quality control department specialists of MTS. Sheet and shaped metal is shot-blasted, transferred to plasma cutting, stripping, and sent to the assembly workshop in the form of finished metal structures.
In all cases, we perform a test assembly that includes the following activities:
– alignment and installation of the crane geometry;
– installation and “fitting” of elements mounted on the crane;
– cable routing;
– test run and “phasing” of all mechanisms of the crane;
– welded joints inspection;
– indicator check of transmissions for limiting deviations in coaxial alignment and radial beats;
– testing of metal structures and mechanisms according to the MKS internal testing program;
– measurements of insulation resistance and resistance of friction force in the mechanisms.
In addition, dynamic and static tests on checking rigs can be carried out upon agreement with the Customer.
And only through all these stages, we can confidently say that this equipment can be trusted!
